Euro standard HCT780X+Z is a high-strength multiphase steel with a chemical composition including carbon, silicon, manganese, phosphorus, sulfur, vanadium, aluminum, and boron. This steel has good corrosion resistance and weldability, and is particularly suitable for cold forming and manufacturing automotive components.
Specifically, the chemical composition of Euro standard HCT780X+Z includes a maximum carbon content of 0.18%, a maximum silicon content of 0.8%, a maximum manganese content of 2.5%, a maximum phosphorus content of 0.08%, a maximum sulfur content of 0.015%, a maximum vanadium content of 0.2%, a maximum aluminum content of 2%, and a minimum boron content of 0.005%.The role of this steel in automotive structures is to provide high energy absorption capacity and fatigue strength, especially suitable for structural and safety parts such as longitudinal beams, beams and reinforcements of automobiles.
Euro standard HCT780X+Z also has excellent mechanical properties. Its yield strength Rp0.2 is 450-560 MPa, its tensile strength Rm is 780 MPa, and its elongation A80 is 14%.
