High hole reaming steel is an important steel grade of advanced high strength steel (AHSS), which has high strength, elongation, excellent formability and flanging performance, and can meet the requirements of complex shape auto parts with high formability Requirements, such as the rear axle suspension swing arm of the automobile chassis. It can also be used on other components that require flange flanging. Its flanging ability is expressed by hole expansion rate. Hole expansion performance, as a formability index of steel, reflects the ability of the material to resist local cracking in the direction perpendicular to the hole edge due to excessive local elongation and deformation of the hole edge during the hole expansion process.
High reaming steels can have two main microstructural forms, each of which has its own advantages and disadvantages:
Ferritic (F) high hole expansion steel: the best hole expansion rate, high yield ratio, wide range of strength, and relatively simple production process;
Ferrite + bainite (FB) high hole expansion steel: good hole expansion rate, low yield ratio, wide range of strength, and relatively complicated production process.
