4J40 

4J40 is a Fe-Ni-Co ternary alloy with a Curie point above 300°C. The alloy has a low expansion coefficient in the temperature range of -20 to 300°C, and does not transform from austenite (γ) to martensite (M) until the temperature of -60°C. The alloy is mainly used in the manufacture of instrument parts and electronic devices that require highly precise dimensions within the temperature range of -50 to 300°C.

4J40 heat treatment system standard stipulates the expansion coefficient and the performance test sample of low temperature structure stability according to the following method processing and heat treatment: the semi-finished sample is heated to 840 ºC ± 10 ºC, kept for 1h, water quenched, and then the sample is processed into Finished samples are kept at 315°C±10°C for 1h, then cooled in the furnace or in air.

4J40 Application Overview and Special Requirements This alloy is a new product developed in my country in the 1970s. Stable performance after years of use. It is mainly used in the electric vacuum industry to manufacture various beam tuning tubes, resonant cavities of microwave tubes and parts whose dimensions change little with temperature. In use, the heat treatment process and processing process should be strictly controlled, and its tissue stability should be strictly tested according to the use temperature.
