The European standard EN 10346 is a technical standard widely used in the European steel industry. This standard covers the manufacturing requirements, chemical composition, and mechanical properties of galvanized steel sheets and strips. Among them, S450GD is a material grade in the standard, which is a high-strength low-alloy structural steel with a minimum tensile strength of 450 megapascals (MPa) and a minimum yield strength of 390 MPa.
In addition, in order to improve the corrosion resistance of the steel, passivation treatment is often used. Passivation is formed by coating a layer of chemically stable material such as zinc, chromium, etc. on the surface of steel to form a coating with corrosion resistance.
