Cold-formed steels are designed to offer enhanced formability and ductility at low temperatures. They can be employed in a variety of applications, from automotive body panels and fuel tanks to refrigeration equipment. Compared to hot-rolled steels of the same grade, these steels boast higher proof strength, allowing them to better endure the impacts of deep drawing and other cold forming processes. Furthermore, they contribute to increased dimensional accuracy in finished components.
