4J36 

 4J36 alloy is also called Invar (INVAR) alloy. The Curie point of the alloy is about 230°C. Below this temperature, the alloy is ferromagnetic and has a very low expansion coefficient. Above this temperature, the alloy is nonmagnetic. , the coefficient of expansion increases. The alloy is mainly used to manufacture components with approximately constant dimensions in the temperature range, and is widely used in the radio industry, precision instruments, meters and other industries.

The expansion coefficient performance test sample specified in 4J36 heat treatment system standard shall be processed and heat treated according to the following method: heat the semi-finished sample to 840°C±10°C, keep it warm for 1h, quench it in water, and then process the sample into a finished sample. ºC ± 10 ºC insulation for 1h, with furnace cooling or air cooling.

4J36 Application Overview and Special Requirements This alloy is a typical low expansion alloy. After long-term use by aviation factories, the performance is stable; the heat treatment process and processing technology should be strictly controlled during use to ensure the stability of the material.

4J36 specific heat capacity c(20~100ºC)=515J/(kg?ºC).

4J36 coefficient of linear expansion The standard stipulates that α1(20~100ºC)≤1.5×10-6ºC-1.

Heat the alloy sample to 880°C±20°C in a protective atmosphere or vacuum, keep it warm for 1h, and cool it at no more than 300°C/h. The average linear expansion coefficient is shown in the table.
