4J50 Overview
Iron-nickel constant expansion alloys are a series of constant expansion alloys that can match soft glass and ceramics with different expansion coefficients within a given temperature range by adjusting the nickel content. The expansion coefficient and Curie point increase with the increase of nickel content. The alloy is a widely used sealing structure material in the electric vacuum industry.

  4J50 heat treatment system The thermal treatment system of the test sample for the expansion coefficient performance specified in the standard: heat the sample to 900°C±20°C in a hydrogen atmosphere, keep it warm for 1h, and cool it to below 200°C at a speed of no more than 5°C/min.

4J50 Application Overview and Special Requirements 4J50 is a typical grade of glass sealing alloy, which has been used by aviation factories for a long time and has stable performance.

4J50 alloy is mainly used to make precision impedance diaphragm, wet reed, dry reed relay, precision length measurement, and seal with corresponding soft glass.

In the application, the selected sealing material should match the expansion coefficient of the alloy. The grain size should be controlled during heat treatment to ensure that the material has good deep drawing and drawing properties. When using forged and rolled materials, the air tightness of the materials should be strictly inspected.
